Tender Lies
The truth was concealed with many branches
of tender lies that emerged from a father's heart.
While his only son was far studying in a college,
he didn't tell him about his mother's untimely depart.
The day his son had called for pocket money,
it was that morning she had met her last breath.
Since then he kept the painful truth hidden
under the carpet of emotions he wove with thread of lies.
But, the day when he shall reveal the truth to his son,
would he be forgiven for all false replies?
