Ten Thousand Miles Away

You say it wasn't mere sexual encounter, What was it then, if you insist? Now I'll have to find myself again, I flounder. I have to stand on stage amidst My shattered dreams and my abandoned hopes and grief - My audience. Just think of it! Didn't steal a thing from you. I am no thief. You thought too low of me. My bit Was played out very smooth, well just as you planned it. Never tried oppressing all stress. I swallowed your lure, digested, I marveled at it. Now? Tons of poems to process. You'll probably not even have time to read them. You'll read one, scan one, maybe two. My perfect man that I would meet will find a gem Inside me, my soul. Why not you? You have to learn, search, find yourself apart from me. I will smile, settle, reproduce. I belong to you, we're a perfect match, you see? No action, word I might induce. We'd develop something more than being lovers. Little energy to invest... What could it be? It is my time to recover. You'll get a break from me. You'll rest. You live your Baroque life and I'll try living mine But why did you have to say you love me? And don't you worry about me. I'll be just fine. Ten thousand miles away. Yours lovingly…
