Temptations Come

TEMPTATIONS COME… Devil trying to cage me up, slave me up, and catch me quick; he’s plotting -to put poison in my cup. Mind racing entangled with thought, emotional shots, praying to God to reveal his plots, pre-determined to get out the hole, out the dark, the wilderness and all the storms, twisted trials and tribulations have me rotating consumed in a tornado, but God says he’s willing and able, hope one day to eat at his table, people want to label, I'm just trying to stay stable, in a hazardous world, cold and mad, hoping for things I never had, not for dad anymore though, have to crawl before you walk and I'm sprinting through this race, trying not to fall, or stay too long on the fence, I take offence but not as often anymore, my pen bleeds out my pain so I don’t have to hold it in, trying to reach the sky before I die, and at times I cry to let out the rain to make room for the sunshine, can’t be consumed with worry or grief, life is too short that I believe, I need to breath easily, take it a day at a time, one foot in front the other, trying to be the best mother to my daughters, trying to take on today so I can endure tomorrow, devil trying to slip in like the serpent in the tree that deceived both Adam and Eve, and he does it to me, trying to slither in my head with a cold drink, poisons, wanting to kill off slowly, but surely God is in the mist, while I'm trying to be obedient and stay away from sin. But Temptation come…
