Tell Me Your Thoughts
I guess you didn't notice
When I left the screen
wide open
I showed you each poem
and you laughed at every line
what did you think mommy
That it was all a LIE?
I even had the guts to say
so what do you think
after you finished reading
you didn't skip a blink
Most of these people
who read my thoughts
wouldn't know they came
from a sixteen year old girl
but today I thought
I'd change the world
Because they at least
say something about what I write
you don't even miss any sleep at night
I am your daughter
And you could care less
but I can't hate you
for your all I have left,
you kicked me out
an made me move into a strangers home
I have never felt so ALONE
I say words like mommy
because I am still a child
at heart
even though every
child-like thing
was torn apart
my innocents
and my trust
was murderd
by a man like him
so perverted
So people now I speak to you
What my mother did
Would you EVER do?
Kick your own daughter out
at the age of sixteen
just to keep the man
the man of your dreams
though he's the man who rapped her
and hates her,
now tell me I am not wrong to be upset
if this is my fault then I gladly call regret
but I have done nothing
but try to help us both out
but you've done nothing but hurt me
and left me out
So MOMMY I am SORRY
that I wasn't good ENOUGH
I will longer beg for your trust
