Hello Jan... nicely written Jan, and ending with a question that cannot be answered. For those left behind 'why' shall echo for evermore - Lindsay

The story is so tragic Lindsay I just wish we knew the answer and could stop it happening again:-( Hugs jan xx

Words I can absorb, I seven, my brother nine, knocked down in front of me. One minute there, gone the next. Two young brothers lives thrown out of context, never to be the same again. Harrowing poetry, but reality that has to be addressed totally, hugs, James xxxx

Beautiful but sad piece with a tragic, important message. We are losing so many of our young people and the universal question remains - "why?" in each case.

Yes, why? This happens too much and always leaves a deep scar. A well-done, but sad Nonet.

Such a sad scenario and the inquests take months to be finalised which add to the trauma - my friends 2 sons died on 2nd December - the inquest was not until the end of April - the living nightmare goes on for the poor families:-( Hugs Jan xx

Jan, I just saw your needle comment reply. Yes, I remember that poem about the nurse. Here, I think a lot is just chemistry. To overcome it takes a huge effort and is sometimes almost impossible. Some of us are unfortunately cursed with this. When the combination of bad chemistry meets a living situation that feeds the fire, the result can be so unfortunate--especially if an intervention could have helped. Society would rather pay for guns.

Thanks for dropping by Duke. Thankfully here on the Isle of Man we do not have an issue with firearms - still tragedy strikes in other ways and young lives end tragically:-( hugs jan xx

Sad dear poet. I've witnessed this several times through the years. All I can find myself doing now, is praying to Jehovah asking for their rise. TY for bringing this phenomenon to our attention Jan. Soul's need to be reminded often of the perils of, systematically, our youth....they are our future, and always have been. Have a blessed weekend..much love, james
