Teenage Mother
"Teenage Mother"
She had it all
A very bright tomorrow
She always smiled
Though broken internally.
All was rosy...
Until she stopped listening
To the voices of reason
We blame it all on adolescence
That girl was gone for good.
She started smoking
Boys were the only thing she understood more than any subject
Broken friendships
Many wrong choices.
She lost the most important key in life.........Education!
Her mother died from depression
An invisible father
She was now on her own...
Pregnant at fifteen
How can a toddler look after another toddler ?
When the baby cried,so was the mother.
She needed money for pampers, milk ,napkins and rent,
So she traded her body for a piece of bread and chicken change.
It was all over for her at sixteen,
She watched as her peers enjoyed the gift of youth
So many regrets,yet no solutions.
Another baby in her belly
Disease in her veins
Alcohol in her breath
She died at eighteen
What will happen to the lives left behind?
