TEENAGE JOURNAL
I am not coping very well and yet I feel accomplished, complete
A good defence mechanism- a new place to visit
Although dark and lonely—I escape without company
Nobody knows about it… yet
Maintenance is time consuming
All other aspects of life ignored
Easy to disembark and land
Return journey difficult….costly
Balloons come to mind—resembling individuals, floating…
Side by side—occasionally they collide gently
Breezes pick up—collisions get stronger, bump and bang
My balloon—water filled, packed and crammed
Lies heavily on the ground
Others may lie there too
Waterlogged they collide harshly
Spilling their contents on the barely durable and lone
The sun comes out – broken bits dry, revealed…. exposed
Ignored, no soul concerned-- to sweep up the mess they made<>
