Tears That Walked Backwards Into My Eyes

Tears that walked backwards into my eyes, unaware of salt and stains and streaks, could not remove the pain my face had wore. So I began to drink backwards in love. Unaware of salt and stains and streaks, I purchased smiles that could not hide the pain. So I began to drink backwards in love, hoping to see her face without the tears. I purchased smiles that could not hide the pain; could not remove the pain my face had wore, hoping to see her face without the tears... tears that walked backwards into my eyes.
