Tears of a Blind Man

If only I could embrace the Sun And thank him for the warmth he freely provides. I would kiss the Wind if I could but grasp it, In return for the stinging kisses she Has planted upon my cheek on a sunless day Of February. If I could find the Echo in the unfathomable pits of darkness, I would play her a song on my merry Mandolin, and she would sing it back to me. If only the wild-rose were my daily fare, And its luxurious taste pranced upon my tongue, Just as its aroma danced through my nostrils. If only the wind would come at my request; If only the wind would kiss away these tears.
