Tears In Your Eyes
A vision of mine, your soul aloft gliding amidst the soft breeze
Adorned in a white lace gown, the one you only dreamed to wear
Hair so thick gracefully draped around you flowing to your knees
Fashioned to an elegant chic style before you would never dare.
Loving freely with a genuinely happy smile upon your beautiful face
No longer being shunned by any regardless of what you feel or share
Enjoying the peace and serenity with freedom at your own pace
Your ravaged heart and devastation restored beyond compare.
No more are you inadequate, suppressed is your imagined self defeat
Equality now a reality since your once selfish identity is non-essential
Diminished afflictions of pain and struggle now with vigor you retreat
Within the heavenly archives of calming solace becoming divinely angelical.
In some unexplained fashion your remorse for any earthly regrets
Amazingly dissipated as your eminent departure had silently crept
As my mother with tears in your eyes and no precluding judgments
Gently whispered, ”I love you” weeks before slipping away as you slept.
