Tears In Vain a New Hope
lost without hope in an unfriendly world tears cried in vain.
Living in darkness a life without purpose no one seems to care.
A cardboard house, a concrete bed, worn out shoes tattered clothes
the crippling pain of addictions sting.
The weight of depression shoves you down. Divorce and the loss of your family or job now you're lost without hope in an unfriendly world tears cried in vain.
But at the end of each night comes the dawn and light fills the sky.
Just as dawn breaks in the rest of the world it can break in our dark lives as well.
The dawn that I speak of from which darkness flees is Jesus Christ our savior and friend.
If we open our hearts and let him in he will give our life purpose and free us from sin. Our tattered cloths become white robes, our concrete bed a crown,
and that cardboard house a marble mansion filled with the bread of life.
Now we stand with a new hope in our savior and friend knowing no more tears will be cried in vain.
