TEARS FOR AFRICA

Africa who cursed you? Why are you so endowed, but have so little to show for it? While other nations are knocking on heaven's door,, You keep knocking on the doors of IMF and World Bank You say you are the cradle of civilization, But civilization has left you behind; while you are staring at the break lights from afar Other nations are having breakfast, lunch and dinner in space, While you are waiting for food aid, with the vast fertile land at your disposal You are blessed with endless rainfall, but your citizens are dying from draught Your bushes are littered with highly potent herbs, But your leaders have made medical tourism a do or die affair Your leaders budget billion's yearly for education; Yet their citizens learn underneath trees; while they and their loved ones have made foreign universities their playgrounds Your backyard is littered with gold, diamond, oil and uncountable mineral resources, but your citizens are dying of hunger Africa, my Africa, tell me: who cursed you?
