Tears Fall

My tears fall with heavy sobs I reach for anyone to hold No one is around . . . but You are. You never leave me crying alone When I see no one, You are there Tenderly You reach out to my hurting heart Gently wiping away the tears Comforting my weary soul Why do I look to any one else? They are never there when I am In need . . . But You are! Time and time again, You Remind me to look only to You and not to others In Your presence I feel warmth, Peace and assurance that all is well. Something I don’t feel anywhere else You allow me to cry, You don’t condemn Me for doing so. You chase away my fears. I try to stand strong, holding to what Your Word tells me But after the long grueling day is done, I collapse from the stress that has worn so heavy upon me I am not strong, as I long to be, Without You I could not have Gone as far as I have. So when I fall from the strain I know You are there, not condemning me but Comforting me, picking me up and guiding me Because of Your love and compassion Is why I am still Quietly I sit listening To what You have to say to my spirit Warmth pours over me I feel loved more than I ever have.
