Tears
The tears of a million years,
Create an ocean of deep emotion,
The heart swollen with pain
Finds each beat a strain...
I toss and turn,
My mind does burn...
Distant railroad sounds,
Disturb the night...
I miss the pelting raindrops
Over my old bed,
Lullabies through the night,
And remembrances attached to
The home that is no more...
How I wish I'd died there,
That I know for sure
Die at a home that's my home,
As my family did,
Not here in this forsaken forest,
Alone, alone, alone, alone....
Screaming from each aching bone
But fate has tricked me once again,
And this is where I'll die,
Alone in no-where's-ville
No one to see me cry.
No hand to hold,
No goodbyes to whisper
No last kiss upon the cheek,
I go out alone, alone, alone,
Alone, alone, one last groan,
I die alone and feeling meek.
