Tears
My tears are just an over spill of happiness
Cascading down ones cheeks
Smile trying to break through
Being drowned by inner enjoyment
After two long lonely years being separated
By caring families that thought they knew best
I was too young in their eyes to know true feelings of love
So they wrenched us apart, nearly died of a broken heart
Love gave me the courage to live this life of emptiness,
I learnt all the necessities of being a good wife
Whenever I stumbled on my path your face came into view
Seemingly saying, “each day is one less”
Would swallow my tears of pain, smile and carry on…
Til this day….now my tears can flow….I am home
