Tears
Heartache is a different pain
A cancer that grows inside
Tears, the only known relief
Like morphine when we've cried
Tears can be addictive though
This quiet liquid pain
It calms our screams a little while
But the heartaches still remain
Don't waste your tears on bad mistakes
You'll need them when it's right
Or maybe to say, "I'm sorry"
In the middle of some senseless fight
Tears can take the pain away
Though long it doesn't last
It's long enough to heal your heart
'Til your hurt has finally passed
Tears can cure a lot of things
That's bottled up inside
It heals the soul from the inside out
So don't be ashamed you cried
