Tears
Tears are the food we nourish
That help us mature like fine wine,
Flow with nature we flourish
And breaks the harsh world we confine.
Tears are like dripping rain drops
Falling on soil for plants to grow
And grief yet flows from these crops
Supplementing our sins to blow.
Tears are falling building blocks,
To help us climb up the stairway
To our fresh tongues free from an ox
So that someday we’d have our say
Tears are like the quiet drift
of petals from some magic rose
and grief yet flows from the rift
of unremembered skies and snows
Tears, the reason our lax lips
Strengthens as precious time goes by
Rather than reading the scripts
To go with the sad human’s cry
