Tears

By George P. Lumayag https://georgelumayag.weebly.com Came to life like an earthworm That soil and rocks embraced my mushy skin, And those wicked ruined my flesh, I couldn’t go but would stay. Stayed in the world of injustices, As an earthworm I’d tried my best To see the stairway in Heaven, But nothing I saw on a cemented tomb. The darkness would exasperate me, Thus, I couldn’t stand alone, Asking for help those at the top! But, did not… better in Heaven to ask? Aspired the moon and stars To light up the four sides of the world, But these dreams of unreachable things, No doubt, the tears would become a flood.
