Tear Drops
Only if you measure in terms of years,
Could you count the tears,
That stray from there home,
And walk down the cheek,
Thumbing for a ride.
The things I want most seem impossible to reach,
How these drops suffer from defeat,
Will I continue to be denied,
The answers I try to spy.
I try to turn them off,
But the switch I cant see,
But how can this be,
Don't they believe I just want to be me.
I want to scream,
I boast "I'm in charge!!"
But I can't be special,
While I'm being me-don't you agree,
Ironic indeed growing up,
Was supposed to set me free.
