Teacher
My Teacher
A shepherd of many, a shepherd in all times
An intelligent shepherd, a shepherd with great minds
Sacrificing and overlooking all your rights
You raise a simple mind to greater heights
Many great lives you make, by lighting up their life rights
Education and wisdom you share making us bright
My teacher, I may not pay you back, but your final reward is great
Your work is not just a profession, but a calling
Holding our lives and protecting them from falling
Your sacrifice for us and pains you underwent is what we are enjoying
As we sit down, we praise, thank and appreciate you in our thinking
The joy and gratitude we have in our hearts for you is overwhelming
My teacher, I many not pay you back but your final reward is great
Cold mornings, freezing nights and at all times you are with us
Holding everything aside, you care for us learners
Not expecting payment from us students you sacrifice for us
Not only in academics and career, but even talent you natures
From the land of illiterate, naive and uncivilized you removed us
In the territory of the learned, bright and wise you placed us
You are guardian angel, a parent away from home
My teacher, I may not pay you back but you reward is great
