Task Or Opportunity

I viewed an opportunity and wondered, Then quickly inquired of others, As nervously I pondered. who'd be the one Ousting this opportunity from view. But alas, those willing to address it Seemed too few. At first, the enigma, Whose was this task, and why? From among those in my midst More capable than I. I quickly saw God saved not me, To saintly grace a pew. For therein is no benefit found, But in things He'd have me do. The Devil, Advocated , my assigning blame. While discreetly I sought forgiveness, From my shame. For it wasn't being unsympathetic, That caused others not to see. But merely, that God, in His wisdom, Had intended this opportunity just for me.
