There is a tangled vine, that grows
It grows between the centuries
Two centuries old, it can't be seen
Between us now, it has a hold
on me, and all my reasoning
Defying time that lies between us
I've read each word between the lines
The words you wrote have landed here
Bringing with them all the years
I can feel you standing here with me
Words can do that, I can see you!
They capture me within my soul,...I know of love, I know,... I know...
The love I feel, a tangled vine
That grows between your earth and mine
This was your world...I've made it mine...
Though we may speak with different tongues...
Some things are timeless, from the start
I know of love,..... I know, I know
Your words have caught me in my throat....
A vine of loneliness imparts
And tendrils of my own, my heart
Reach out to tell you so....
I feel the pull so deep inside
How strange and crazy, this may be
I know of love.........I know.....
I know somewhere, away from here
Somewhere deep on different shores
Our stars are meant to cross again
I know of love............I know
I feel your presence here with me
It matters not the century
A tangled vine was sent for me
To cling, until my eyes can see
you reaching out for me
There is a tangled vine, that grows between
Two centuries old, it can't be seen
Between us now, it has a hold
that defies all lucid reasoning
