Tangled Vines
Tangled vines slowly creep
upon the unsuspecting tree
As it leaps upon the trunk
It keeps the tree in a deadly embrace
Life, like the vine can entangle us in its web
Making us struggle to free ourselves
Or endure a slow demise as it strangles us
We can also become entangled in the web of love
Its tangled vine can break our hearts in two
Then we seek solace in the vine
Drowning our sorrows to get over the heartbreak
Perhaps it's a love divine we seek
