Tangled

Melting into your hands This fragile heart of mine Wanting you to understand Our place in time Picking wild flowers On the edge of tomorrow Living in an ivory tower Guarded by fears & sorrow Writing my thoughts On borrowed hours My hearts caught In a thicket of cowards Racing to find my place In time to save face Wanting to fit in I dove in on a whim Into a sea of discontent Where lonely souls & I lement Captive to regret Our fate tangled in a net.
