Talking To God

Lord, Lord, where does my heart wander? where do my thoughts travel? far away… so far from where You are…. I try so hard so desperate for love for acceptance so unhappy with who I am knowing who I can be Lord, I forget I forget that no other love can satisfy no other love is lasing no other love is unconditional no other…. not the love of a lover, a spouse, a child, a friend all will disappoint… everyone at some time will offend Lord, not You not You why, why do I forget? Why can’t I be constant? warm my heart keep me in the palm of Your hand… I know nothing else can satisfy as You do and yet…I need that human touch that earthly sense of being valued, desirable Lord, no matter... how ridiculous I am foolish...rebellious I want You to know that deep down inside my little heart... the constant in my life is Your love YOUR love Jesus, save me from myself I’m my worst enemy save me love me show me Your love today….SHOW me as only You can open up heaven’s gates send the light, peace and joy of that place to envelope me... embrace me with Your presence let me walk in the atmosphere You dwell in anoint my tongue let me speak YOUR WORDS not mine Lord Jesus…… forgive me…. I’ve fallen I’ve forgotten I’ve denied I’ve ignored I’ve abused Your love for me….. Forgive me, Lord and remember that I am weak a child of the dust of this earth and yet….Your child…the King of the Universe… How awesome are YOU!!! no one compares to you NO ONE!!! “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.” no one in heaven no one on earth is as beautiful as You are I exalt Your beautiful Name name above ALL other names...JESUS!!! You are altogether lovely and desirable…. help me, Lord…help me be who you want me to be never...NEVER give up on me Thank you for speaking to me today I heard Your voice it touched my heart my stone cold heart it warmed me I felt the embrace of heaven I adore You... Jesus..... In the name of the One who has my name engraved on the palms of His hands because of those nail marks, I can pray…. In the name of Jesus Christ my...SAVIOR Amen

congratulations eileen! I know how much it means to you...good to see you still having a crack at the contests, and it paid off here...I like the way you've written this, speaking in a very direct, personal way to god, and I like your free verse format :)

Richard....there is always opportunity for a first time! :) Try it....BTW....we don't manufacture faith...even that is a gift from God. Just ask Him for it.... :)

AMEN; Eileen - this is beautiful. you have a good heart. I too talk to God all the time. God already knows how good we are, or how bad we are. All we can do is try to live a rightous life. Awwwwwwww.....thanks, Lucilla. I'm so glad that you have a such a close relationship. All He wants is for us to find out what His will is and try to live according to it. We mess up, but He covers us with his goodness. :) Thanks for the lovely post......hugs

WOW! I tell you, Richard...that story brings tears. I know....I'm silly...still carry those horrid gray dots. Max Lucado is my fav author when it comes to spiritual matters of the heart. He is amazing!!!! I follow him on FB....He is great. Hugs

Cliche as this may sound: Faith & have belief in yourself; Embrace this. Cherish this. Value this. All else around you will fall into place or they will not fit, that is when you remove the clutter and move on. Nicely said here.

Drake...this is sound, wonderful, true advice. I KNOW what you mean, I do....I struggle though...so much. I'm not as strong as many thing I am.....Marshmallow heart...get bent all out of shape...often. Yes...must believe in myself. Some days are better than others....Thank you for caring enough to support and encourage me...
