Take My Hand

To those who want a world with peace To those who want all wars to cease Find love and hope within our land Please reach out and take my hand For those who hunger to be free For those who look but cannot see Praying for all to understand Please reach out and take my hand With arms outstretched for they who plead And spending their lives in dire need Nothing seems to go as planned Please reach out and take my hand If I should fall shedding bitter tears Be overtaken by my fears And if my castle sinks in the sand Please reach out and take my hand When I feel lost with no control And I’m on my knees, pain in my soul Help me then to take a stand Please reach out and take my hand Darkness falls and the night is long Alone we are weak, together strong We can reach the Promised land If you reach out and take my hand.

This is brilliant!!! Offering YOUR hand to others at first, and then accepting the help of others, and ultimately God. Well done!

Vince, how true that we can find comfort (and give comfort) by looking outside ourselves and reaching out. So many young people don't seem to understand that. This was beautiful! Love, Carolyn

Beautifully done, Vince! Love the flow, and the rhyme doesn't detract from what your words are saying. A powerful projection, I think you'll have to be part octopus to be able to grab all the hands reaching out to you!:) Happy Valentine's Day....Blessings to you and yours...love, Mikki

Wow! What an elegant poem Vince. It depicts the beauty of your soul and eloquence of your pen. It is always enjoyable to read your work. -Mohammad. A Quatrain from my book Rubai'yat of Josh Malihabadi - A Drop & the Ocean: Let the slumber of existence be brief/ Wait not until the book of time turns its leaf/ The city of mirth you have founded in your heart/ Let it not be starved of the reality of grief.
