True. It's never partly sunny for the sun is a constant. Well done, Harry! Thanks for sharing and thank you for your comments on my poem. Happy New Year! Caroline.

Your words are so true. That sunrise for Faith is there and waiting, no matter how many storms we pass through. Take care. Janet

Re-reading this beauty. And I can see your point about a class society and the use of language! Let me see if I can find a poem of yours I have never read before.

Makes me think of all the other things that have no explanation too Harry; and how special can that be. Maybe we know something some of the others don't!! :)

Nice write Harry. There is just one thing I've noticed that everybody else missed: You have six syllables in the first line which is one too many. The word "folk" appears expendable. Elimination of that word will bring the number of syllables in the first line down to five.

Excellent point my friend. It reminds me of something I heard once about an athiest who said he has been to outer space but never seen God so He must not exist. Someone else answered him and said,"That's like an ant inthe States stickinng his head out of his hole in the ground and saying he sees no Khruschef so there must not be one." Don't know if that's how you spell that name but you get the idea. lol God Bless, JB

Hi Harry...this is a very well constructed tanka...God shows up every day, doesn't He? Love the theme and the delivery here...science is God's greatest disguise, huh? Gwendolen
