Sweet and Sour Sunrise

Another day I awake to yet another sunrise, That I should be here at all, to me a great surprise Now the pain begins all over, Another day for me to suffer Do I greet the sun with joy, Or another chance for life to destroy, My teeth are clenched in pain's eternal grimace, My eyes mere slits of care Would God think me remiss, If my end I should so dare I don't enjoy to be in this situation Where such thoughts I should have at all, All I ask of heaven Is for this pain somehow to grow small
