Al Gore warned them! Big on climate change. Sad for those who couldn't afford to leave, Rico

Ian has left such widespread death and destruction in its wake. I can't imagine . . . . Good poem, Rico. Janice

The last three days have been hell for us. My brother is in Fort Meyers and my sister in Port Charlotte. .... two places most severely hit by the hurricane. They called us just before the storm bgan telling everything was OK. But later for two days we couldn't hear anything from them.We were in severe tension. At last after two days of tension and prayers, we got news that all are safe. As the roof and windows of the houses are hurricane resistant, the houses remain intact. But so many trees have been uprooted, including the palms, Florida is famous for.

Imagine what it would be like for them restoring a power grid where everyone has an electric vehicle! Good thing they are safe! Aloha!

In 26 words you managed to go from a picturesque scene to utter devastation! Only you could do that Rico ! Well done.

Palm trees are so dangerous, yet frequently remain the only thing standing after a hurricane! Aloha!

Boy, you got that right! Rico. They have a governor who does lots of "blowin' and peein'" and if he keeps it up, there won't be much worth seeing down there! But, I'm not blaming him for the weather, you understand. Ian makes a fine metaphor, don't you think?
