At first when i saw the title of the contest, all i thought about was sugar. Am kinda a sweet addict:-) yes am working on it. But the sweat part always made me think of hitting the gym and sweating out some of the fat. This was a fun read and alot of people can relate to it.

Thanks Njeri, the sugar and food manufactures have addicted us in the name of profit. we all pay twice, when we buy and when we die.

Just great, and also appropriate for me, of the expanded waistline. I remember actor John Candy's line in Stripes, "My doctor says I swallow a lot of aggression." Yes, all those foods I love, they comfort me for that home stretch! If I put on my old coaching sweats they would fly me like a hot air balloon. Now where were those "Twinkies?" Bless you, Richard

Another different approach to this contest topic, Richard. I am not extra fussy what I eat, but I have never been keen on sweets and I prefer to go for fish and vegs. rather than fatty food. // paul

Very good... I invite you to read my "Sweats and Sweets" entry... The good thing about this contest is the variety of approaches possible, as indeed the "Bite Me" contest showed.

I have changed it slightly, thanks for posting a coment Andrea. My wholw family struggles with weight so this is a topic that hits home for me. My wife works with people that have extreme fear of weight gain and they may be thin but are often even less helthy than people who have a few extra pounds. We should be happy with our bodies as lon as they are healthy. Throw away scales!

Thanks Casarah, sugar is apparently more addictive than cocaine. Corporations addict us and we now have many of our young people struggling with body image and more seriously health concerns associated with anorexia, bulimia and obesity. The media adds to the dilemma by creating unrealistic expectations that make us feel bad about our selves.
