Swap
There was a time when I was you
In every fold of delusion and disparity
In every expedition of fancy and folly
In every shred and thread of ecstasy
On the stand of living a liberal, regret-free life
Now, there is this time when I'm still you
But with a growing curiosity to know how I was
By re-visiting the mirror of past in you
Through the corridors of intimacy in the maze of time
As the colors didn't disappear in air
But were adopted, then owned by you
As if two chameleons did a permanent swap
When reflection of forgotten days finally got fully retrieve,
Depicted a *****, sacrificial way of love:
In the pursuit of passion and empathy
While I was filled with fragrances and flowers,
Someone was simply left with several lots of pricking thorns
