Surrender
I will laugh with you in sunshine,
Walk with you through rain,
Be a friend when friends are absent
And comfort you in pain.
I will not let you falter,
Nor will I turn away.
I am the light that guides you,
Along the Pilgrim's Way.
I am with you every moment,
And peace is mine to give,
If you would but accept Me,
And learn how to forgive.
I know the fears that haunt you,
The guilt you daily bear,
Such burdens are not yours alone,
They too are Mine to share.
I love you, how I Iove you,
That it grieves me so to see,
You suffer in your lonely world,
Yet will not call for Me.
I will come to you my children,
Be steadfast at your side,
In the fiercest storm a shelter,
Where the lost and lonely hide
I will wash away your sadness,
With waters from above,
Take the darkness that engulfs you,
And enlighten you with love.
I will lead you to the Father,
Comfort you in strife,
Take my hand then and surrender,
To the Way, the Truth, the Life.
