Sunshine On Stormclouds

I've been choosing to see all that I want to see bothering not the thorns that rose offered me but now the thorns have wounded me and this must end I've painted too much sunshine on the stormclouds, friend I don't wish to be a meek martyr, don't want to be nailed up a tree this life with you I'll gladly barter with loves that might not even be. never had ears for what they said of you to me, listening close only to those with whom I would agree but now I see that truth and lie and hope can no longer blend I've painted too much sunshine on the stormclouds, friend.
