sunshine

skinny sidewalk hugs the fence sunset flickers through rusty diamonds like a movie chain link-- all that prevents me from plunging into her bottomless pit dug out lifetimes ago yeah--I've already slipped into her from the other side into the light I keep walking like a movie time is no boundary like a mirage it evaporates drawing me deeper into my sunshine "my only sunshine... you'll never know dear.. how much I..." yeah... "please don't take my sunshine away."

I love the cheerful, reflective nature of your poem...like you were crossing the time boundaries and visiting perhaps a childhood home. I love when I experience that feeling of the boundaries of time evaporating. Well said. Enjoy your weekend, Sara
