Sunshine
The sun shines consistently,
rays of sparkling softness;
It dries the dews of the days,
and the worlds dainty dress;
It broadens brightens and beautifies
the bumble bees sweet brambles;
It rolls and roams through the ryes,
in romantic rambles;
It gives and it glorifies the globe,
with gigantic gowns of gold;
It calls the crews and crowds of children,
and keeps away the cold;
It lightens the lawns and the leaves,
and leans upon the lukewarm lake,
It warms the world wiggling westward,
o’er the wide oceans wake
It never needs to know when,
when it is the hour on noon,
It moves and moves from early morn,
making miles before the moon.
