Sunset Reverie

Vanilla ice cream clouds float in a blue and mauve sky. Fingers of gold from the setting sun dance on high. Off in a distance clouds brightly edged form a view of splendor. A mirage of lakes, meadows and woods I see as the sun paints the evening sky with fervor. A large orange red ball slips into the sea without so much as a hiss. With cup of coffee in hand I stand transfixed for not a moment do I wish to miss. Birds wing their way to nearby trees to find their nights perch. In the grip of such beauty and grace I feel a sense of warmth and peace as if in God's holiest place. In a distance music drifts and floats by on a breeze soft as a sigh. Now all is at peace as the azure blanket of night has fully pulled its way across the sky. This poem is part of a series including A Night of Dreams, An Evening by The Lake, On Comes The Night, Days End, and Tiny White Canoe

Oh thank the Lord. All of these people were viewing my poetry but no one was making any comments and I was begining to think maybe nobody liked what I am writing. Thank you so much for your kind review.
