Sunset
As the sun slowly sets
Somewhat resembling a mirage
To some this sight feels as if
They were treated to a pampering massage
Off way in the distance
Only reached by the eye
Deep very deep
Colors paint the sky
Beginning so quickly
Yet seemingly slow
It ends so abruptly
What a supernatural show
A full moon shines
Through the dark cuts light
As the predators roam
Birds take flight
Soon it will be
A whole new day
Over crystal clear waters
The light shining over the bay
Yet this will not last forever
One day the sun will fail to shine
Leaving behind
Doom to mankind
One must realize
Our sunsets are numbered
For one day our sun
Will inevitably fall
Into a never ending slumber
And then death shall call
