Sunscreen

What do you do when someone has soaked up all the rays of the sun? All the love in your heart? It has dried out like a tomato on a hot summers day would. We spray the weeds with pesticide And mow the lawn just to look a bit neater On a hot summers day Even if you are not here; You proceed to take my breath away So much time has gone on, I thought I would not be singing the same old sad song But I was wrong; As the day went on, and the sun sank lower The moon was bright and looked much fuller "Can I see it" the little girl asked Can I see it!? Can i see it!? So much excitement for such a short amount of time Sounds like what happens when you love the wrong guy; My soul withers away in the dark I am only filled now with sad remarks One day, the sun will rise again and I will be cured But until that day comes I will just remain there lying in the sun
