Sunlight

Sometimes I believe you to be a vision, fading, only a reflection of the warmth I used to feel. Today my memory of you locked away within a clenched mind, like grains of sand perpetually slipping through the cleft of time. A memory scattered along the highway of despondent souls, soon to be washed away by the rising tide of oblivion! © Harry J Horsman 2011

oh, my, a vision of that wonderful sunlight. This kind of goes with my "age" poem, remembering my own past as the sunny time! I love this, Harry. NO wonder it scored high. Congratulations.

This is so wonderful, Harry, it provokes my thoughts to a bit of melancholy, with the tide of hope washing away the dark sides of yesterday. Love how you did this in such few words. A big congratulations!

With over 500 people viewing this and my name not there, I nneded to read. There's such sadness in fading visions especially when it was someone we held dear. Hopefully the oblivion you express so well will bring a new vision. A beautiful verse Harry
