Sunlight

Peaking from behind the drifting clouds Sunbeams glisten on the morning dew The garden gate swings in the breeze As smiling spring begins its life anew.... The golden sunlight warms the sleepy earth Green now the color of my lady's gown Jeweled hummingbirds flit from stem to stem For waiting hearts the joys of spring abound Soft showers bathe my blushing cheek.... Prisms for the sunbeams that promise life A rainbow arches cross the mountain top Time now to put aside the winter strife.....

With two new babies in the family this will be a special summer for you, dear LNC. Many wonderful images in your poem. Gotta love the "jeweled hummingbirds." They flap their tiny wings so fast! And I'd love to see the prismatic sunbeams that help create that rainbor over the mountain. Such a joyful write, dear! Always wishing you success and I hope you got my e-card. Congrats, Grandma, and thanks for sending the beautiful photos. Your family has been blessed. Love, Carolyn
