It's pure excitement, on the edge To know what I have, what I do - is admired Creating from insight into pigment Repeating, surrounding myself, you My friend This is all, it is I'm bold, emblazon myself Watched over they go through it all In bud or to seed embodying beauty Head held high or slumped - it is there We're all triptychs or frieze Stages for stages, frozen in time I see it as forever onwards but still Perhaps the future isn't meant to be known We experiment here and there It is brighter in that moment, now Yet, afterwards, when it is over We long for, yearn, pay one thousand fold Just for a glimpse of then To own, occupy something as if there We should change that, we should For what are we doing in the phases missed? We're still, still there but too tired or pained But no, yellow is the colour And we too can turn our heads to follow Shades and variants of the same, never dull These lines and crooked spines It's precision and it's spontaneous I'll put my name to it Controlling each stroke Yet it takes its own journey Sometimes they look at you Sometimes they look away, head bowed I know what I've got here Gifting to a friend the best of me It holds me in time I'm held in time It's my signature

Wonderful writing. Love this artist... a master of painting promises. Unique and beautiful, as the soundless edges of the shadow, the silence in the wistful bleeding of light into the canvas... beautiful. amazing. God bless you with much love, Gina

Thank you Gina, there always seems so much in the brush strokes that writing the poem becomes easy. A little bit of editing is missing from this one but it felt like bursts of conversation so I quite liked it. Thank you for your kind words, appreciated
