Sundrenched Sight
Open up your mind and your heart for a change
Please don’t hesitate,
For, you aren’t pushing the limits
If I were yours,
I wouldn’t be drawing near to depression
Heads up! Don’t slouch down
Lift your head from your desk…
Turn your body around and look at me in the eyes
Everyone knows I have the hearts for you
Everyone knows the abashing news
Don’t be weighed down by vindictive pressure
Sit with me for a while
Wrap your hands around me
Your lovin’ never loses style
Don’t sink low with agony
The world ain’t gonna change that easily, honey
I don’t hate your guts – you’re not a big deal…
Let’s have a good time with Lady Gaga,
Booming on the radio and I’m doing a freestyle, crazy dance
Caught in a sugar-coated, sundrenched trance
Thrilled with the sundrenched sight
I slept in way too long and these scars won’t heal
You cool me down like a waterfall of beautiful wishes
I slept on the wrong side of the bed…
A Keane’s song
– Somewhere Only We Know –
is in my head like a broken record
Good morning to mourning…
Good night to midnight fright…boy, you’re a much-loved angel
You’re a sundrenched sight
What are you waiting for? Join the pack!
Go with the flow, but who knows where the wind do blow
What are you doing to me? Stabbing me in the back?
Chill out with your many friends and your confidence will glow
You’ll like a performer on stage with the spotlight on you
I can tell you’re putting up a wonderful show
Here without you,
I can’t fight off the demons tonight
But, I have to try with all of my remaining might
Let us wander in the fields of daffodils, damasked with delight
Don’t fade away, you dazzling daisy…
Float away like the clouds today
We are a crazy pair
Let’s party till we sweat our pants off,
The butterflies in my stomach fly away
I’m trying to figure out what went wrong
Why did things get so bad?
Why are you drinking your life away?
Why do I want you to leave to leave me be for the night?
I’m certain that you have made my day
I remember our separation from the sundrenched sight
Depart from me, dangerous currents of calamity
Here without you,
Love doesn’t seem like the end,
But instead jaded corruption –
The raw slits on my arms won’t mend
Don’t give up and put your head upright
For tonight, we’ll view a sundrenched sight
Do you still have childlike ambition?
Moon-drenched nights crafts eagerness in my soul, taking divine flight
Do you still have illuminating intuition?
If I were yours, I’d be a lucky guy,
Winning a lottery with tons of dough in my wallet
You aren’t on the last straw –
I’m still waiting for you and I don’t know why
Cut the link between you and the loathsome, callous monster
Extend your hand and receive golden gladness
You’ll be placed in the hands of God and you and I are a witness
To God’s mesmerizing, marvelous miracles
It’s never too late to catch up with your racing thoughts
Don’t be caught up in your mind’s introverted side
Solitude will not torture you so…
Nothing will break our connection, not even pity and woe
Do you want to spend time in a sundrenched sight?
Do you want to feel right this shining night?
I’ll take you by the hand and we will no longer be black and white
As long as you’re here with me, everything will be alright
Make a difference in everyone’s life
You’re on a super good start – our fate is as gracious as a husband and a wife,
Saying their vows that are oh so heartfelt and genuine
You are my Dear Prudence and we’ll share our win
Let our heartening sundrenched journey begin!
The world needs our voice
Let us seek the sun and be together in unison – let’s rejoice!
If I were yours forever, that’d be a perfect choice! ~
