Sundown Tanka

SUNDOWN TANKA two ducks on the pond and one on the stony path right around sundown i must wonder where they sleep then, looking homeward, must yawn such a shallow fence along the wintery trail just logs and runners nor for keeping in nor out but skirts the deep, dark forest where the stream narrows someone has laid down a log questionable – which side to use for camping? balance in the forest gloom?

Hi Daver - To balance the forest with one log is a novel thought (am I gettting it). Check out Keith Bickerstaffe's poem "mastro." I think you might like it. love, Kathy

As an avid camper, ....I want to see what you see, at this very moment. Such a peaceful and serene poem, that makes me want to load up the car, pack my sleeping bag and go to the mountains right now!
