Sunday Morning Services

Today I walked down my church's aisle Through the meadow and round the bend The choir erupted in glorious sound Hearing birds their song to heaven send The sun on the water reflected A sweet rainbow of every hue As beautiful as any stained glass Piercing color, short lived but true My prayers drifted on gentle breeze His house alive with wild flowers I read from the book of living and Was cooled by the summer showers When at last he comes among us I think he might walk in this wood And speak to his waiting children "This I made for you...and it is good..."

Nice use of rhyme and imagery. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your kind comment. I've decided to take a break from the Soup but will still be dropping by from time to time. Best wishes with your writing! Karen
