Sunday

It was a bright sunny day in July When he tosses me in the air with a smile He really made me believe that I could fly What an inherent memory that's worthwhile We walked hand in hand in the park Flowers are all in bloom and the birds sing I hide behind him when I heard the dogs bark Feeling secured that's what he brings Years gone by and this is me Enjoying an equal sunny day with my dad Sit in the shade of a large tree With gratitude for all Sundays we had

This is a heartwarming poem. I wish both my parents were still alive... You don't realize how important they are until they're gone. Warm Smiles, Connie

Pictures taken with Dad can jog our memories and make the times together so precious. Great images... and so poignant... Love you dearly.... Jake

Nicely written. I lost my dad four and a half years ago.

Sorry to hear that, Rob :( Funny how the time flies by so fast. It feels like only yesterday we're cuddling in dads arms. And then seeing that beloved face with wrinkles, and that grey hair..oh my.. ;(

How wonderfully adorable! I just hugged my Dad good bye a week ago today, before I flew home. I miss him so much and the rest of the family. Written memories like this are what it's all about. Beautiful work, Shirley/Candy! ;-)
