Summer's Requiem
Summer dies! I am enraptured again,
My Autumn arrives at last, I cannot wait!
A pale lady with rain in her eyes and wine on her lips,
She will bury the Sun under the shroud of clouds,
Summer is for doomed lovers and fools,
Yet Autumn, my Autumn is for souls like me.
Oh what a beauteous time will it be until Winter comes,
A time of dying leaves and the sky dyed black,
A time of kisses in the rain, a time to wear what I want,
A time to write and be inspired!
So, Summer I say onto you,
Requiem aeternam and I want you to stay dead!
