Summers Rains

And then come the dark rains The sky so dark that the day goes black... Wind begins to tap gently on the hair Whispering in the ear, "Beware it's near" A storm looming with huge lightening Like fireworks igniting the sky To wash away the dirt and decay And Shatter the winter's mist Welcoming joy and life

Summer in New Zealand, December to February, just the opposite of our seasons in the United States. Love the last stanza, Paghunda! Enjoy your summer while we endure “the winter’s mist” ;)

Dear Paghunda, your imagery of the coming Spring is rich and beautiful. I especially loved "Wind begins to tap gently on the hair/Whispering in the ear, "Beware it's near" - a lively yet delicate personification that stirs my imagination so wonderfully. Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan
