Summer Rispetto
Summer Rispetto
In blazing glory Summer ascends her throne,
crowned by Mother Nature with titian blue sky.
Sunshine sparkles on waterfalls like rhinestone;
and robin redbreasts teach baby chicks to fly.
Fields aglow with mantles of joyful jonquils,
and brooks blissfully babble through green foothills.
Balmy zephyrs drift dreamily murmuring,
“How sweet … but soon Summer will be sweltering!”
