Summer Flowers

Rose red, white, pink, or yellow, is not merely a rose. It has the beauty and fragrance to hypnotize us all, Jasmine and Gardenia have fragrance so sensuous and wild, They would remind me of my beloved the whole night. Sunflower, Pansy, and Lavender, look so pretty, They attract bees, birds and human alike, As a young boy, I used to taste the nectar like bees, Can’t forget the taste of honey even these days. The beauty of Orchid, Giner, Heliconia, and Hawaiian Lei, I could only appreciate if I were a butterfly, Hovering over them, I would have been amazed by their intricate design, Their colors and pattern would have given me a new look in my life. Walking around in my little garden, I feel content with the elegant look of Petunia and Marigold, The birds of paradise and hibiscus show me the divine path, Chrysanthemums, Daisies and Dahlias bring me heaven on earth.

Of all, I love flowers and gardening. I can relate so much to the inner joy you derive from your flowers. I wonder if you still maintain your garden in tact with no one to help you.

It is quite easy over here. Anyone can do it in a few hours a week. It is fun and an enjoyable hobby.

What a joyful place your garden must be! Your poem was captivating as you beautifully described the various flowers. I loved "the birds of paradise and hibiscus show me the divine path." That's the way I feel about the hibiscus. I, too, remember tasting flower nectar as a child...lovely memory & awesome poem. Have a great evening, Sara
