SUMMER FLOWER

SUMMER FLOWER I am relentless, a true survivor Pushing up across every green lawn Unashamed, just like Lady Godiva But a commoner, no affected yawn From that famous seed head, I am born Then to bright yellow, in all my glory My salad leaves tell a different story Yet I am something to keep an eye on Despite comments so defamatory Don’t pity me, I’m a dandelion
